As the title of this website implies, my name is Mike Angstadt and I like to take pictures. I've held a significant interest in photography since around the year 2003 and the interest holds to this day. Other than working as a photographer for my university's student newspaper, photography has been just a hobby of mine. I do what any photographer aims to do. Express an idea, tell a story, capture an emotion. And the feeling I get when someone looks at my work and gains pleasure out of having seen it makes me very happy. This is why I created this site.

All pictures posted here have been taken with a digital Canon PowerShot S1 IS (my first-ever camera). Some have been tweaked a bit (altering the color balance, brightness, etc.) to emphasize certain aspects of the image or for artistic reasons, but nothing underhanded has been done.

As a result of my computer-related interests, I've created this webpage myself. It was designed using PHP, MySQL, and uses HTML which I spent way too much time nit-picking with to look just right. In addition to what you can see here, I've also developed a web-based system for adding to and editing the content of the site easily.

I've tested the site in IE, Mozilla, and Opera, all of which render the page pretty well. To all of the Mac and Linux users out there, all I can do is hope that it looks the way I want it to look for you. :-/
